The Founder and Director |

Alberta Gulotta,
is a former Staten Island, NYC Public School teacher of Italian
and Spanish. For over fifteen years, she has been teaching the
Italian language, art and culture to children. She has taught high
school as well as adult courses at the Garibaldi Meucci Museum in
Staten Island, New York. Alberta lived and studied in Florence,
Italy attending La Lorenzo de Medici studying advanced Italian
Conversation, Literature and Art History. She studied Tuscan and
Italian regional cuisine in Abruzzo, Italy and began an Italian
language and cooking program at her previous school. Alberta holds
a degree in Romance Languages and Education and aside her studies,
has traveled extensively to Italy and Europe. Alberta exudes a
love and passion for the Italian language and culture and is very
dedicated to bi-lingualism. |

As a resident of
Dyker Heights Brooklyn, Alberta realized that there was a need for
a unique Cultural Arts Center. She considers the opening of Little
Language Playhouse her greatest achievement sharing her vast
knowledge and enthusiasm for all forms of art, cuisine and
languages. She happily offers a variety of cultural enrichment
classes in a newly renovated, clean and professional atmosphere. |

Mommy &
Me Classes |

From 6 months to age 5, Little
Language Playhouse offers a variety of Mommy & Me classes. Small
children learn to socialize, share, interact & play together in a
professional, clean, bright & friendly atmosphere. |

Art
Classes |
|

Offering one of a kind cultural
art classes, our goal is to expose children to renowned artwork, teach
them drawing and painting techniques, while encouraging them to love
and appreciate all forms of art. |

Culinary Arts Class |
|
|
Taught by an experienced Italian
cooking teacher, our fun hands-on program will teach your child
essential kitchen skills & techniques such as measuring, mixing,
grating, peeling, whipping & slicing while preparing different dishes.
Children will learn to prepare, knead, roll and cut dough for pizza,
cakes and cookies. All types of baking, pizza, pasta (i.e. gnocchi,
fettuccine, lasagne, pasta all’uovo), panzerotti, arancine, i suppli,
crostate, torte salate e antipasti are taught in our 10 week culinary
program. |

Yoga for
Toddlers & Children |

Yoga teaches children stretching,
breathing, aerobic movement and relaxation for the mind, body and
soul! Our Yoga classes are taught by a certified Yoga instructor and
designed for children ages 4 & up. |

Italian
Immersion Classes |

Offering a variety of Italian
immersion classes for infants, toddlers and children, Little Language
Playhouse is committed to giving individual attention to each child.
Each one hour class is conducted exclusively in Italian in a
structured, stimulating and playful environment so children can be
nurtured, praised, encouraged and feel self confident. Through an
effective play-based and interactive method, children understand the
Italian language naturally and effortlessly. |
